A bicycle crash scrambles more than your route home. It scrambles memory, judgment, and priorities. One minute you are watching traffic at an intersection or scanning for a driver about to turn across the bike lane, and the next you are on the pavement trying to figure out whether your wrist is broken, whether your front wheel is bent, and whether the driver who hit you is even going to stay. That first hour matters. So do the next few days.
